I know the economy is supposedly getting better but there’s still a lot of unemployed people out there.
Our next door neighbors for example … They both got laid off from their IT Jobs in late 2008 (I think) and then, to top things off they had a baby last February, plus they’d only bought their house in June 2008 so when you add everything up it wasn’t very good that they both lost their jobs.
The woman next door got a new job a few months ago, but her husband is still looking. I feel bad for them.
I certainly hope that now that the economy is truly getting better that he gets a new job soon too.
I know that my husband and I have been struggling. I’m on very extended medical leave and my husbands job is only part time although he does work 4 days a week and gets a pay premium for part time. It’s hard but we’ve been careful with our money and expenses so we’re surviving.
How are you doing? Have you managed to keep your job during this recession or did you lose it and have to struggle like so many others have?
Job descriptions says
I think you have to believe that the worst is well and over. A little bit of patience even though things might be tough will go a long way.
