Well it’s been just a little more than two weeks since I quit smoking! Yeah for me!
I smoked for more than 25 years so it was a big deal to quit.
Actually … it was a big deal to work up to quitting – once I actually did it I just had to keep myself from lighting up and getting through the first few days. I took a medication to help me quit – Zyban and it helped a lot.
I quit cold turkey in the past and all I can remember is being in a blind rage the whole time .. this time I get a little anxious here and there, but for the most part I’m feeling pretty good.
One of the things that I did shortly after quitting was to join an online forum – just for support. It’s helped a lot. Oh and on that forum a lot of people swear by this book written by allen carr that helped them quit smoking. Obviously I did it without the book – but the forum helps.
Anyone else quit smoking recently? How did you do in the first couple of weeks?
